| RETIREMENT (DS) -- Well, it's been ten months and 175 entries, and Daily Squelch is calling it quits. At least for now. It's been a fun journey, and I'd like to think several of the entries were funny (at least near the beginning). But as you may have noticed, our heart's just not in it anymore. Both the quality and quantity has suffered, and I'd rather the site not exist than be no good, so, we're done.
Maybe some day we can come back if we get some more writers to bear the load better, and if you're interested in being informed if we ever do, then feel free to email us at feedback@dailysquelch.com and we'll file you away in our minds. Also please feel free to email us and let us know what you thought, good and bad. We've appreciated our few regular readers, even if most of them have just been friends and family.
This site, and the archive, will stay up, and I'll be adding a randomizer and maybe a best of page so that bored folks can visit and get a random entry whenever they want. Again, thank you for reading the page. It was certainly fun while it lasted.
Update: Just so we're clear, Daily Squelch is stopping. The Heuristic Squelch itself, the print magazine, is not. These are two distinct writing staffs and the Squelch and its brand are still going strong. |
